ONDON: It’s been two years since The Stack World first launched – debuting as a pandemic-pivot that has grown over the last 24 months into a global community of more than 12,000 women – but the message has remained the same, to empower women to build their personal and professional networks.

On Wednesday night, Stack World Founder Sharmadean Reid and Glassette Founder Laura Jackson hosted a dinner to celebrate International Women’s Day 2023, to show what is possible when women build their own tables.

“I am sick of waiting for a seat at someone else's table,” says Ried, who together with Jackson had invited 17 women to assemble their own tables by passing along the invitation, with 180 women coming together for an evening of celebrations and connections.

Martine Rose, Rejina Pyo, Ashley Williams, Parisa (aka @badkidhq), Emma Dabiri, and Basma Khalifa were among the guests for dinner at 180 The Strand, welcomed with a glass of Veuve Clicquot to start the evening.

Guests were seated at tables decorated with blooms from FlowerBx and Diptyque candles to enjoy roasted cod, beluga lentils and shaved greens, paired with glasses of Whispering Angel's, Rock Angel rose.
